Geraldine Helen Darnell age 80 of Clarksville, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020. She was born June 3, 1940, in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late Felix Kuczmarski and Elizabeth Bleecker Kuczmarski. Geraldine had worked for several years at Jay Garment Company in Clarksville and later became a caregiver for the elderly. She is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Geraldine devoted her life to caring for family members and others during their illnesses. She was also a sports fan and enjoyed the music.
She is survived by a daughter Kristen Darnell of Goodlettsville; and a son Shawn Darnell (Sylvia) of Clarksville. Geraldine was also blessed with four grandchildren, Christopher Kushner, Kailyn Darnell, Megan Darnell, and Hannah Murrell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Lee Anthony Kushner, her first husband Lee Kushner Sr., and her second husband Robert Catlett Darnell. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Monday, July 20, 2020, at Gateway Funeral Home and for the hour before Mass at the funeral home.
