Raymond Lee Cline, age 78, of Clarksville, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at his home. He was born in St. Clairsville, OH to the late Charles Wesley Cline and Edith Pool Cline. Raymond was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Ray Cline.

Raymond retired from the US Army, at Ft. Campbell, in 1977, after 24 years of service. He was retired from the Military Police. Mr. Cline served in Japan, Germany, France, Korea, and Vietnam, as well as State-side. He received various medals, including the Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman Badge, United Nation Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with six campaign stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device, two Oversea Service Bars, Korean Service Medal with one campaign star, and the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. He was also a life-time member of the DAV.

Raymond was a very avid Beagle and Coondog hunter. He was involved with Clarksville Politics, including the former Friends of Clarksville. Mr. Cline was also a proud Mason.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 23, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Craig Cross officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the service. Visitation will be from noon until 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cline is survived by his wife, Virginia Cline, of Clarksville; one son, Charles Wesley Cline, of Atlanta, GA; and daughter, Cheryl Cline, of Palmyra, TN.
