CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)-  Clarksville Police are asking for assistance in locating an individual that escaped from police custody.

On July 1st around 3:30 pm, near the intersection of Tenth Street and Madison Street, Sakevius Lovett, 27, escaped from the back of a police car after being taken into custody.

He was allegedly aided in the escape by his girlfriend, Rosa Nash, 25.

According to her warrant, while Lovett was in custody in the back of the police car after being served a warrant, Nash allegedly opened the door handle to the police car and let him out.

Lovett fled down the street still handcuffed.

Lovett has warrants on file for Aggravated Assault and Escape.

Nash, was charged with accessory after the fact and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
