MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A former Northeast High School nurse was indicted by the Montgomery County grand jury and charged in a multiple count indictment with sexual crimes involving a minor.

Leon Burnett Hensley, 38, is charged with 14 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, attempted especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor more than 50 images.

According to his indictment, between October 1, 2018 and December 31, 2019, Hensley allegedly “permitted a minor to engage in sexual activity,” by allowing the minor to participate in the production of materials.

He is charged with possessing more than 50 images showing minors engaged in sexual activity.

Hensley was previously arrested on November 18, 2019 and charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to his arrest warrant, on November 15, at 11 a.m., Sgt. Slaven found, during a consensual examination of his cell phone, a photo of a “prepubescent child in the state of total undress with the focus of the photo being on the genital area.”

The warrant dates the offense happened on or about August 1, 2019. The warrant was served on Nov. 18.

Hensley most recently served as a school nurse at Northeast High School. He was hired by the School System in March 2017, according to a previous report.

His employment was terminated from CMCSS on Nov. 8, 2019.
