CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville High Boys’ Tennis seniors aspire to achieve lofty goals after their high school careers.
Student: Stewart Black
Quote: “I started playing tennis in 10th grade,” Black said. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my tennis career at CHS. After virtually graduating, I plan on attending Austin Peay State University, but I am unsure on what I will major in as of right now. I’m just going with the flow.”
Student: Zaid Malik
Quote: “I’ve enjoyed playing tennis for CHS for the past few years and was looking forward to the senior season,” Malik said. “Although the Coronavirus pandemic has cancelled the seasons for all spring sports, I am staying positive through academic pursuits. In college, I will study under a Pre-Med major and pursue a position in medical school after graduation.”
Student: Nathenael Hundie
Quote: “I enjoyed playing tennis at CHS,” Hundie said. “This upcoming fall, I will be studying mechanical engineering at Harvard College. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I will most likely attend medical school to pursue my career as a biomedical engineer/research doctor. This career choice is ideal for me as it rolls my passions for physics and medicine into a career that allows me to treat unsolved medical conditions affecting hundreds of thousands of people across the globe.”
Student: Colby Jones
Quote: “I look back and reflect on my tennis seasons, and they are some of the most fun times I have ever had,” Jones said. “I will always remember the camaraderie we have shared. I am saddened because of the circumstances and that I won’t be able to put on the purple and gold for matches anymore, but it was fun getting to share memories with some of my closest friends these last few years and I know we would’ve won. For my future, I’m going to APSU and will hopefully pursue some type of career in the medical field. It was a fun four years at Clarksville High. Go Wildcats.”
Student: Preston Cutsinger
Quote: “I have been on the CHS tennis team for all four years of high school,” Cutsinger said. “My other hobbies include racing dirt bikes which I’ve been doing since I was three years old. I plan on attending Austin Peay State University for Electrical Engineering this fall.”
Student: Zachary Langford
Quote: “I have enjoyed my time at CHS playing various sports, including tennis for a few years, and I am thankful for all the memories I’ve made with my teammates on the court,” Langford said. “Moving forward, I will be focusing on kicking for the WKU football team, where I’ll be attending in the fall.”
