CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Based on current recommendations by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), financial institutions are making temporary alterations to their services. These changes are to protect the health and safety of their employees and customers.

The following local financial institutions have announced changes. This does not signify the entire list, as some institutions may not have changes at this time.

Altra Federal Credit Union
Altra Federal Credit Union has suspended all service in branch lobbies. Any Altra and Altra Financial Advisors events that were scheduled in March and April have been cancelled.

Starting Thursday, March 19, until further notice, the credit union will only be conducting essential in-person business through the drive-up lanes at branches that have drive-up lanes. At those branches we will also be accepting deposits, loan payments, and documents in the night deposit boxes.

F&M Bank
Effective Friday, March 20, F&M Bank will be redirecting lobby traffic at all locations. Customers will be able to access drive thru facilities. Drive thru access will remain open during regular business hours. Also, appointments for in-branch visits may be requested via myfmbank.com or by calling 931-245-4274.

Fortera Credit Union
Effective Saturday, March 21, Fortera Credit Union will close branch lobbies throughout its Clarksville and Hopkinsville locations.

“At Fortera, we strive to serve as a trusted financial partner and we’ll treat you as our friend. As we face these
challenging times together, we believe responsible action is our greatest defenses against the spread of COVID-19. Doing our part to flatten the curve, we have determined it to be in our members’ and employees’ best interest to close our branch lobbies at this time,” said Tom Kane, Fortera President and CEO.

With these measures, members will still be able to conduct all full service banking transactions through all Fortera drive through lanes, Contact Center and remote banking options. The drive through lane closest to each building will be dedicated to commercial and loan transactions. Fortera’s remote banking options are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week through the convenience of a computer or mobile device.
