HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Christian County Schools announced they will be closed for 20 days, March 16 through April 10. The shutdown is in response to Kentucky Governor Beshear’s recommendation to be prepared.
Superintendents across the state participated in a conference call with the governor’s office.
“We received a clear message from the Governor that schools should be prepared for the possibility of closure in the near future because of the coronavirus,” Mary Ann Gemmill, Superintendent of Christian County schools said in a statement online.
The district has “non-traditional” student instruction plans available in digital and paper format that will be made available to students.
