CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Catfish House, owned and operated since 1979 by Jerry and Carolyn Ellis, along with their daughter Cindy, offers relaxed Southern dining at a scenic location. For over 40 years, The Catfish House has been part of the fabric of Montgomery County.

Today, daughter Cindy continues on in the family tradition, providing quality service and inviting hospitality.  The restaurant invites both long time residents and new visitors ‘across the river’ to enjoy a good Southern meal.

The Catfish House

What first started as a family-business quickly grew, as news of their hospitality and mouth-watering menu spread. Diners enjoy the fried pickles and hushpuppies almost as much as they love the signature catfish platters. The restaurant only uses farm raised domestic fresh catfish.

The new location off Zinc Plant Road opened in 2012 and has quickly become a stopping point for large tourist groups and big parties. Nestled on the banks of the Cumberland River, diners are treated to the gorgeous Tennessee scenery.  The family friendly and laid back atmosphere creates an inviting presence for guests.

The Catfish House is open Monday – Thursday 4:00pm – 8:30pm, Friday – Saturday 4pm – 9pm, and Sunday 11:30am – 8pm. Reservations are not required. See the menu on the website. Visit them at 1461 Zinc Plant Road, Clarksville. For more information call 931-648-2121. Follow the restaurant on Facebook for updates and specials.
