CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Hispanic Business Networking Group (CHBNG) held their first meeting on Tuesday, January 21, at OfficeNow’s Frances Lee Event Center on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
The organization aims to bring local business owners together to support one another in their endeavors while sharing information and contacts. CHBNG is part of the Clarksville Hispanic-American Family Foundation (CHAFF).
According to the group’s mission statement. they aim “to inspire, empower, educate and engage our Hispanic-American business owners and entrepreneurs to succeed through business education, support and networking”
Members of the organization participate in monthly networking events, gain access to digital and educational resources and are eligible to be nominated for Business of the Year 2020.
“That way, the Hispanic community can come together and be more exposed to American business owners and customers. People can explore the diversity and new things in town,” said CHBNG founder Belinda Martinez.
CHAFF founder Elizabeth Adamski spoke at the meeting concerning her organization’s partnership with Montgomery County on the 2020 Census, and the importance of participating in the process.
“We are assisting the Census with counting parts of the community because we think it is important for everyone to get counted because everybody matters,” said Adamski. “CHAFF is open so that we can have people come over, and if they need to get on the computer and be able to do the Census online, we are available for them to do that.”
CHBNG will hold their next meeting on March 24. The event will focus on Women Entrepreneurs. To register for the Clarksville Hispanic Networking Group, or to view upcoming events visit them on Facebook.
