CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- The  Clarksville-Montgomery County School System celebrated its Enrollment Center with a formal ribbon-cutting on Friday, Dec. 6.

The Enrollment Center opened in June and serves as a centralized location for parents and guardians to register their children and obtain documentation, resources, and support for the enrollment process.

Parents and guardians are able to begin the registration process at the Enrollment Center, including the ability to submit important registration documents such as birth certificates, health forms, statement of residence, etc., which are sent electronically to the school at which the child is zoned.

From June through October 2019, the Enrollment Center served 4,213 visitors, of which there were:

  • 2,029 new enrollees
  • 1,745 records requests
  • 429 Student Services Department visitors
  • 1,154 military-connected students

“The impetus for the Enrollment Center was the need to streamline our services for an ever-growing community,” said  Millard House, Director of Schools. “When the Enrollment Center opened and I saw a mother with multiple children in various grade levels, which typically would mean visits to multiple schools, enroll her children at one time, I knew this resource was making a difference. This center is especially important for our military families.”

Parents and guardians still have the option to complete the enrollment process at their child’s zoned school when buildings are open and staff is available during the school year.

The CMCSS Enrollment Center, located at 430 Greenwood Ave., and is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., throughout the calendar year when district offices are open.
