CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Officers of the Clarksville Police Department gathered together with citizens at Caprigio’s for a Pizza and Police event.

Visitors received child ID kits, plastic badges, coloring books and more. Kids also got to climb in the patrol car and turn on the lights and sirens.

The event provided an opportunity for police to meet one-on-one with the public in a positive setting. The event also served as a fundraiser for Soles 4 Soles. The Community Relations Unit set a goal of collecting 100 pairs of shoes for donation. They have, at this time, received 103 pairs, and the donations are still coming in.

“Our Clarksville community shined as usual,” said CPD Spokesman Jim Knoll. “They made the Souls 4 Souls’ ‘Give Shoes, Give Love’ motto a reality.”

Knoll went on to express his appreciation for the generous citizens of Clarksville and the continued support law enforcement receives from the community.
