CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- Rain and possible storms are forecast for most of Monday.

Meteorologist Derrick Snyder with the National Weather Service in Nashville talked about how the weather will kick-off the work week.

“Looks like the best chance for the strong or possibly even severe thunderstorm would be in the mid to late morning hours for the region,” said Schneider.

Schneider added it appears the storms will weaken as they move into the Clarksville area but strong or severe wind gusts can’t be ruled out.

The line of showers is expected to move out in the afternoon to early evening hours and it will be windy and cooler for the rest of Monday with sunny skies returning on Tuesday.
