CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Fisk University and the Office of Veterans Affairs have partnered to bring higher education programs to Clarksville that benefit military members, veterans, and their families.

Fisk University will open an extended campus site in Clarksville at the Emmanual Family Life Center, located at 303 Fairview Lane, and will offer four programs: Homeland Security, Social Justice, Criminal Justice, and Human Development and Leadership.

The programs are 8-weeks long hybrid programs. The courses will be taught in fully equipped classrooms that will enhance student learning.

The extended site is interested in students who are active military, veterans, families and interested people who have a passion to make a change in the world.

An open house and ribbon cutting will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tours will be given of the new site and more information about how to apply will be shared. At the open house, a Fisk University Clarksville Military Achievement Scholarship Award will be offered for those who qualify. There will also be door prizes.
