CLARKSVILLE, TN – Investigators and deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested eight men in connection to reported gunfire in a field near South Ridge Subdivision.

On October 1, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Montgomery County deputies responded to the area after several residents reported hearing gun fire and bullets hitting their home.

When deputies arrived, eight men were observed running into the wood line. One of the men ran to his car and drove away.

All eight men have been located and arrested.

A preliminary investigation indicated the men were target shooting at a box positioned approximately 290 yards from homes. Seven handguns, one of which was reported stolen; two bags of cocaine; one bag of crack cocaine; two bags of marijuana, digital scales, and marijuana cigars were discovered at the scene.

The following men have been booked into the Montgomery County Jail with a combined total of 36 charges consisting of reckless endangerment, possession for resale schedule II, simple possession, theft, and felony evading.

  • Eric Tyreese Davis, 22; reckless endangerment x3, drugs schedule II, $61,000 bond
  • Cameron Malik Brown, 20: reckless endangerment x3, drugs schedule II, simple possession, $40,500 bond
  • Javon DeWayne Vaughn, 22: reckless endangerment x3, drugs schedule II, $61,000 bond
