Public Library 125th celebration: The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library is celebrating its 125th anniversary on Saturday, September 14 with performances from magician Russ Nowack, the Clarksville High Performance Choir and more. Displays of the library’s past and future will also be available, including sneak peaks at the upcoming branch library. The festivities begin at 10 a.m.
Sevier Day: Fort Defiance will feature Native American and Frontier re-enactors as part of this annual event on Saturday, September 14, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Re-enactors will offer demonstrations in blacksmithing, camp life, and use of a flintlock musket.
Living Hope 150th anniversary: Living Hope Church celebrates 150 years of community this Sunday, September 15 with a special service at 9 and 11 a.m. The service will feature a joint proclamation by mayor’s Joe Pitts and Jim Durrett.
International Festival: Immaculate Conception Church is hosting its annual International Festival on Sunday, September 15, from noon until 5 p.m. The event will feature inflatables, a beer tent, craft fair, silent auction, flea market and food from around the world. Bicentennial Preview Weekend: Local historians will be gathered at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Clarksville on Saturday, September 14 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. to host a talk on the building’s history. Sunday will feature a concert by Jeff Wood performing 19th century hymns.
