CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A human resource group and program at Daymar Institute was welcomed as a new member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce December 18 with a ribbon cutting at Daymar, 2691 Trenton Road.

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is a national organization of human resource managers with chapters across Tennessee including one in Clarksville. The local group meets each month to discuss human resource laws and certification and SHRM members also teach classes at Daymar.

Mary Wauford with Daymar Institute talked about the organization’s meetings which are held at Daymar on the third Wednesday of every month from 11:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. “We welcome any HR managers or business owners who have to do their own payroll, benefits and safety law issues,” said Wauford.
