CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation and 5 Star Media will collect school supplies July 27-28 for the annual Stuff the Bus event. Stuff the Bus is a community event to help support our local educators.

The drive will be held Saturday and Sunday in front of area Walmarts.

Volunteers will be set up in front of Fort Campbell Blvd and Wilma Rudolph Blvd Walmart stores from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m on July 27. Volunteers will also be set up in front of Sango Walmart from noon until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.

Supplies donated will go to the Teachers’ Warehouse.

The Teachers’ Warehouse is coordinated through the Education Foundation where teachers are assigned points throughout the school year to spend on supplies.

Officials say many teachers spend money out of their own pockets to keep up with supplies in the classroom. The warehouse gives them the ability to pick up school supplies that are needed throughout the year, supplementing items they’re already buying.
