CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Folk and Classic Rock will be featured at the free Mic Check Monday concert series on June 17 at Downtown Commons.

Opening the event at 6:00p.m. is the Stuart Bonnington Band. This acoustic group presents an extensive repertoire of British Invasion music (Beatles, Kinks, etc), plus American tunes from that same era.

At 7:00p.m. is Daine Clark, a rock, indie rock, hard rock, and country artist. He says, “I love performing for people just to see the thrill of it all and to learn from other musicians. I’m pretty versatile as I’m a lead guitarist/vocalist.”

Taking the stage at 7:45 is Arik Browning and Peter B. This indie/acoustic singer-songwriter/folk duo has been playing and writing songs for about 15 years and plays both covers and originals.

Presented by Visit Clarksville, CDE Lightband, and Downtown Commons, Mic Check Monday will offer different genres of music each Monday in June and July. All concerts will begin at 6:00p.m. when weather allows.

No food or drink will be offered on-site. Guests may bring food and chairs, but no alcohol is allowed in the park.
