CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – One person is in custody after a wrong-way crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 24 East near the Cheatham-Montgomery County line.
It happened Friday just after noon. The vehicle was initially involved in a crash on Highway 76 in Montgomery County. The driver fled the scene. The vehicle got onto I-24 going East in the West bound lanes.
The driver was then involved in two more separate crashes on I-24 before wrecking their own vehicle.
The driver then fled on foot. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County jail.
It was not immediately known if any injuries were reported.
