CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A 71-year-old man was sent to the hospital Tuesday after being involved in a motor vehicle crash.
Around 12:30 pm, Tuesday, June 4, a 71-year-old man was riding a motor scooter, traveling west on Madison Street in the left lane. There was a pickup truck with a trailer driven by a 29-year-old male traveling west on Madison St in the right lane.
The pickup truck had partially passed the motor scooter when the motor scooter rider signaled to change to the right lane and did not realize the trailer portion had not passed yet. The motor scooter made contact with the trailer causing the rider to lose control and crash.
The 71-year-old man was taken by Lifeflight to Nashville with a head injury in unknown condition.
