CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A pedestrian was injured after running into the side of a moving vehicle on Providence Blvd. Friday morning, according to Clarksville police.
A 23-year-old woman was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe south on Providence Blvd. around 5:45 a.m. when a 24-year-old pedestrian tried to cross the street from the east to the west side.
Police said the man crossed the northbound lanes before pausing in the center turn lane. He then ran across the southbound lanes and collided with the side of the Hyundai near the intersection of Power Street, according to investigators.
There was no traffic control light or pedestrian crosswalk in the area where the man crossed.
The pedestrian was transported to Skyline Medical Center by ambulance for evaluation and treatment. He was conscious and aware when he was transported.
There are no charges pending.
