CLARKSVILLE. Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – Sophomore guard Dayton Gumm has announced via Twitter that he will be transferring from Austin Peay State University.
Gumm, a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky, joined the Governors basketball team as a freshman sharpshooter for the 2017-2018 season.
According to APSU Athletics, Gumm was the first APSU freshman since at least the turn of the century (when electronic record-keeping began) to post two 20-point games in his first six collegiate contests. He also earned his first adidas OVC Freshman of the Week honor after averaging 14.0 ppg, 3.0 apg, 3.0 spg and 2.5 rpg, with 61.1 percent shooting against Bethel and Miami.
