CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Tennessee River Chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting a Disaster Response 101 course to gain interest from the community for long term volunteers, specifically disaster response volunteers.
The free course is set for Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the American Red Cross, 1760 Madison St. in Clarksville.
The Red Cross says nearly 65,000 disasters occur locally or on a national level each year.
The Red Cross is looking for volunteers in Montgomery County that can help individuals affected by disasters in our community. The course will help you learn more about the Red Cross and disaster response and find out about the volunteer opportunities in the Montgomery County area.
