CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Clarksville Fire Rescue remembered a longtime firefighter during a funeral procession and celebration of life service.

Lt. Maurice Rives died on Tuesday.

The 1981 graduate of Clarksville High School started with Clarksville Fire Rescue in 1988.

Mayor Joe Pitts was among those who eulogized Rives at Thursday’s service.  Members of Clarksville Fire Rescue lined the procession route as a fire truck with a bucket lift flew an American flag on Warfield Blvd. as mourners passed.

The department posted photos on Twitter with the message: “We’ll take it from here Mo.  Rest in Peace.”

Rives was 55. Link to Obituary.
