CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Flood Advisory continues for the Cumberland River at Clarksville following heavy rain on Thursday.

As of 3:30 a.m. Friday the river was at 44.4 feet, just short of Flood Stage (46 feet).

Flooding has been severe enough for the city of Clarksville to shut-down Liberty Park and Clarksville Marina, McGregor Park and Trice Landing.

The river will fall to near 42.2 feet by tomorrow morning and continue to slowly fall through the weekend, but the flood advisory continues through Sunday at noon.

Cold air now coming in behind a front will drop temps to the teens Friday night. Some patchy ice may form
on roadways, especially elevated surfaces.
