CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) -Massive beams were added to the McClure Bridge in Clarksville this week as part of an ongoing construction project by the state.
Clarksville police warned drivers to be aware of the haulers bringing in the beams for the bridge and authorities had to shut down the intersection of Riverside Drive and Cumberland Drive to make room for the equipment.
The upgrade is part of a $65 million project for the new five-lane bridge on Hwy 149 in Clarksville-Montgomery County. It is the second biggest project in Middle Tennessee, next to I-440.
The project is set to be completed in summer of 2021.
