CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are looking for a man who allegedly struck a woman in the head with a handgun while attempting to rob her.

According to police, the victim agreed to meet Vintavious Williams, 19, at a Greenwood Avenue address to purchase an iPhone on Dec. 31, but when she arrived she was approached by another man, Zemarcus Ligon.

Ligon pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the woman, who kicked Ligon’s hand. He then reportedly hit her in the forehand with the handgun and left the scene with no money or property.

The woman was not seriously injured.

Police arrested Vintavious Williams Jan. 4 and charged him with criminal attempt for aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $50,000.

19-year-old Zemarcus Ligon is still at large and has an active warrant for criminal attempt for aggravated robbery.
