CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Parks & Recreation’s New Providence Pool, the only public indoor pool in Clarksville, is open and offering new aquatic classes and events for its winter indoor season:
Aqua Cycling
This new exercise class involves pedaling against the resistance of the water on submerged aqua bikes. The buoyancy of the water reduces the impact on participants’ muscles and joints and provides a full-body workout. Four-week sessions are offered monthly from January through April from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $50 per 4-week session. Pre-registration is required and available online at the Clarksvile Parks and Recreation website.
Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) Self-Rescue Swimming Lessons
This new swimming program offers individualized swimming instruction five days per week, Monday through Friday, for 10 minutes each day for an average of 6 weeks to infants & young children ages 6 months to 6 years old. With a focus on safe, customized lessons by certified instructors, ISR’s survival swimming lessons emphasize health, ongoing program evaluations and parent education to deliver the most effective and safest results in the industry. Cost is $65 per week per child and $60 per week for each additional child. Pre-registration is required and available online at the Infant Swimming Resource website.
New Providence Pool is located at 168 Cunningham Lane.
