CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Freezing rain fell across northern-middle Tennessee overnight causing ice accumulations on area bridges and overpasses.

The National Weather Service issued a tweet at 3:00 am that its weather station at Clarksville Outlaw Field had measured 0.07″ of ice accumulation.

Even trace amount of ice can create hazardous driving conditions.

Last week, snow flurries led to slick patches on several  Clarksville overpasses, causing 10 crashes in a two hour time-span.

A Winter Weather Advisory continues through noon Sunday for much of the area for periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain.

The National Weather Service in Paducah issued a Winter Storm Warning through 9:00 am for Christian County, Todd and Trigg counties. That means significant amounts of snow, sleet and ice will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
