CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Historic Collinsville will host Candlelight Christmas tours for the first time in 15 years on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15.

During the two evenings, from 4-8 p.m., guides will take guests on tours of the pioneer settlement. Each home and structure will be donned with holiday décor appropriate for the 1830s – 1870s era. Guests will also enjoy music and a fireside Christmas story. Additionally, refreshments and vendors will be onsite.

The off-the-beaten-path pioneer settlement first opened in 1974 to give children a “hands-on” experience, outside of the classroom, about life in the 1800s. It’s been open to the public since 1997, recreating the past with 18 historical structures, each filled with authentic period furnishings dating from 1830-1870 that show a glimpse of life before and after the Civil War.

Historic Collinsville is located at 4711 Weakley Road in Southside, Tennessee. It is 15 miles from downtown Clarksville and 28 miles from downtown Dickson.

Tickets are available at the Visit Clarksville website, and are $12 for ages 12 and up; $9 for ages 6-11. Children ages 5 and under are admitted free. Tours begin every 15 minutes. Please order tickets based on your preferred starting times. Guests are encouraged to bring a flashlight.
