NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are investigating after a body was found in the Cumberland River late Sunday night.

The body was pulled from the water around 11:30 p.m. near the 6600 block of Robertson Avenue in West Nashville.

A barge operator initially discovered the body and called 911, according to Metro police.

Paramedics and crews with the Nashville Fire Department recovered the victim from the water.

No additional information was immediately released and the investigation is ongoing.
