CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The holiday season is upon us, which means it’s time for lights, parties, and celebrations with family and friends. Several Christmas-themed events are happening in the Clarksville area this year. Find your favorites below:

Christmas on the Cumberland
Christmas on the Cumberland, Clarksville’s popular lighted walk-through event, will be open nightly from 5-10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday and 5-11 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays through Jan. 1, 2019 at the Riverwalk at McGregor Park. Admission is free.

Family-friendly activities will take place from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8 and 15. This year’s free activities include holiday crafts and performances by local school and church choirs and dance groups.

Ice Skating Rink at Downtown Commons
Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink is scheduled to run November 23 through January 21. Operating hours will be Thursdays and Fridays 5 to 10 p.m.; Saturdays 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays 2 to 10 p.m. The hours will be extended during school breaks and on holidays. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children under 12 with discounts for military and APSU students. Private party rentals are also available.

Special events are also planned throughout with the season, including movie nights, a dance party, a college night, and a luau-themed celebration. Golly G’s is also up and running ready to serve at Downtown Commons.

Christmas in Clarksville Interactive Light Map
The Christmas in Clarksville website features an interactive map of Christmas light displays all over the community and allows you to list your address and share photos of the most light-decked halls in town.

Miracle on 34th Street
Directed by Ryan Bowie, MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET at the Roxy Regional Theatre is based on the 20th Century Fox picture, with story by Valentine Davies and screenplay by George Seaton, and is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

Performances run through December 22 on Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. There is no 8 p.m. performance on Saturday, December 22.

Trees of Christmas at Smith Trahern
More than 20 trees decorate the rooms of the beautiful historic Smith Trahern Mansion during Trees of Christmas. Opening with a reception Sunday, December 2 from 2 p.m.-5 p.m., the Trees are open for display Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. for a $2 donation. Each tree is designed and decorated by a local club or organization.

Drive-Thru Christmas Lights
Enjoy over one mile, and over a million lights, from the comfort of your car at the Clarksville Speedway. The event continues daily through Dec. 31.

Admission is $25 per car load, $100 per tour bus, and $50 for cargo vans or vehicles with more than eight people.
