WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Another parent in Wilson County reported to authorities that their child found a needle in their Halloween candy.

According to Lt. Scott Moore, authorities recently responded to a home on Hillside Drive after a boy said he found a needle in a candy bar.

Moore said the child’s SRO had been notified about it earlier in the day. Later the same night, Moore said the same child told his father he found another needle in a second candy bar.

A report indicates the boy went trick-or-treating in the Langford Farms subdivision.

Last week, another Wilson County parent reported finding a needle in their child’s Halloween candy. That child had also been trick-or-treating in the Langford Farms subdivision and at an event on West End Avenue.

“It’s just a terrifying situation and it’s something that I urge all citizens out there to make sure they really take a lot of precaution to check and inspect all candy collected throughout Halloween or anything other time,” Moore previously told News 2.

Additional information was not immediately released.
