CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) will retire their razors once again this year for the No Shave November initiative.
The deputies will compete to grow the best beards and raise money for cancer research along the way. Later this month, you can visit ClarksvilleNow.com to vote for your favorite facial hair.
Last year MCSO raised $4,060 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Deputies forgo shaving for a month to open conversation and grow awareness by embracing their hair, which many cancer patients lose. Money normally spent on grooming products for the month is donated to cancer research.
