NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Nashville chapter of the Joshua Chamberlain Society (JCS) will host a fundraising gala on Saturday, November 3 to benefit severely combat-injured veterans from the Middle Tennessee region.

The Great Gatsby Gala will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Richland Country Club, located at 1 Club Drive in Nashville. All event proceeds will be used to provide much-needed care and services for Tennessee war heroes.

Founded in 2013, the Joshua Chamberlain Society’s unique mission is to provide long-term support to veterans who have sustained permanent combat injuries. The 501c3 charity also offers support and care to the families and children of fallen service members.

“No other organization in the Middle Tennessee area is providing the kind of lasting care and services for our nation’s greatest defenders,” said Donald Ross, president of the Nashville chapter of JCS. “Each of our heroes has suffered grievous and permanent injuries. They deserve to know that our community honors and appreciates their tremendous sacrifice. We are all committed to standing beside them and making sure these incredible veterans and their families have the resources and support necessary for a better quality of life.”

Each year, the Nashville chapter of JCS ‘adopts’ one additional veteran to receive financial aid and emotional support. Currently, JCS provides services for six veterans from the Middle Tennessee region, including the family of one veteran who was killed in action:
