CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A joint effort between officers and agents from the Clarksville Police Department and a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office K9 officer resulted in the seizure of almost 100 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, marijuana oil, and $2,000 in cash.
Clarksville police said four men stopped in Clarksville for an overnight stay on their way to Florida on Sept 27. Around 7 p.m., officers received a call from a business at the 600 block of Kennedy Lane about a marijuana smell coming from one of the rooms. Officers went to the room and discovered a pound of marijuana inside.
Later that night, MCSO’s K9 tracked a scent in the suspects’ vehicle. Police searched it and found five large trash bags full of vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana weighing 97 pounds and a duffle bag full of marijuana oils.

The wholesale value of the drugs is approximately $250,000 with a street value estimated to be $500,000.
CHRISTOPHER SMITH, 28 was charged with: SCHEDULE VI (MARIJUANA) DRUGS FOR MANUFACTURE, SELL, DELIVERY and DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: BOND $200,000. EVAN BONGARD, 28, ABRAHAM MEIJA FAGOT, 27, and PHILLIP DIXON, 31 were all charged with: SCHEDULE VI (MARIJUANA) DRUGS FOR MANUFACTURE, SELL, DELIVERY and DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: BOND $200,000.
None of the men were Clarksville residents.
