CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Planters Bank Season of Giving is now underway throughout Tennessee and Western Kentucky. Over the next few months, the bank’s social media and in-branch giving campaign will support 12 local non-profit agencies.
Now celebrating its fifth year, the Planters Bank Season of Giving is an annual tradition. To date, Planters Bank, along with community supporters of the Season of Giving, have donated over $60,000 to local area non-profit organizations.
“We measure success of the Season of Giving both in how well we’re able to spread awareness for the non-profits’ missions, as well as in the dollar amount we are able to contribute to help further their cause. We continue to see community support grow for these organizations that do so much in our communities,” Planters Bank CEO Elizabeth McCoy said. .
During Season of Giving, Planters Bank works with local companies to private label items. After the bank purchases those items, all of the proceeds from the items’ sales go to the Season of Giving non-profit agency supported by each bank branch. This year, Planters Bank has partnered with Clarksville-based Delectable Sweets to offer mango pineapple habanero jam and strawberry jalapeño jam, and Kuttawa-based Broadbent’s to offer hickory smoked country bacon.
Throughout the Season of Giving, supporters of each non-profit organization may visit the Planters Bank Facebook and Twitter to help the organizations earn even more donations. Planters Bank shares featured posts about each non-profit throughout the Season of Giving and will donate $1 for every like on the featured post and $2 for every share. Planters Bank will also donate $25 to the Season of Giving organization if mentioned when opening a checking or savings account during the Season of Giving.
Season of Giving has officially started for 2018. You can visit Planters Bank to lend support through the in-branch opportunities. Find more information by visiting the Planters Bank website. A list of the non-profit organizations featured for the 2018 Season of Giving is below.
