CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The following downtown roads will be closed from 9:45 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 for the Welcome Home Veterans Celebration parade:
• Franklin St. from Hiter St. to Third St.
• Third St. from Franklin to Main St.
• Main St. from 3rd St. to 2nd St.
• Second St. from Main St. to Commerce St.
• Commerce St. from Second St. to 5th Street at First Baptist Church
The parade will leave the First Baptist Church Parking lot at Commerce St. and Hiter St. at 10 a.m., proceed on Hiter St. to Franklin St., turn right onto Third St., turn left on Main St., turn left on Second St., turn left on Commerce St. and conclude at the church parking lot.
The public is invited to watch the parade and cheer the veterans who will be participating. All veterans are welcome to participate in the parade, but are encouraged to register at www.welcomehomeveteranscelebration.com.
About Welcome Home Veterans Celebration:
This year during September 12-16, Visit Clarksville and the Montgomery County Veterans Coalition will host the fourth annual Welcome Home Veterans Celebration.
Multiple activities will take place during the five-day period to celebrate and honor veterans, with an emphasis on Vietnam veterans.

• American Traveling Tribute Wall at Beachaven Vineyards and Winery
• Field of Honor
• A Wreath Laying and Massing of the Colors
• A Hero Breakfast

• Welcome Home Parade
• Lee Greenwood in Concert
