CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are investigating a series of stolen and forged checks in the Clarksville area.
Detectives believe the checks were taken by suspects who used a stolen United States Postal Service (USPS) master key. It is unclear how the suspects obtained the key at this time.
So far police have arrested two suspects in the case: Adam Perrelli and Jessie Marie Decker.
Perrelli has been charged with forgery and conspiracy. His bond is set at $120,000. Decker was charged with forgery on a $50,000 bond.
Police are still looking for Kaitlin Patterson, who they believe is also a suspect in the case (pictured below).
Citizens who are sending or receiving checks in the mail are advised to keep track of their bank accounts and report any suspected fraud immediately.
