CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The public is invited to a Meet the Candidate community political forum Saturday, October 6 to meet the canddiates for upcoming elections.

Nov. 6 Election Day: What you need to know

The event is free and open to the public and will be held at G’s Pancake House, located at 803 S. Riverside Drive, at noon.

This forum will give the public the opportunity to hear the candidates’ views on community issues.

The Meet the Candidates forum will have candidates present for the following positions: U.S. Senate, U.S. Congress, Governor of TN, TN State House, City of Clarksville Mayor, and Clarksville City Council).

Candidates from the Democratic Party, Republican Party, Green Party as well as Independent candidates for all elected positions have been invited.

A list of candidates who have agreed to attend has not yet been released.

The Coffee Party of Clarksville, Tennessee in partnership with the Clarksville-Montgomery County NAACP, the Clarksville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the Clarksville – Montgomery County, League Of Voter Empowerment (L.O.V.E.) have organized the event.
