CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville’s annual Riverfest Celebration is Sept. 6-8 along the banks of the Cumberland River at McGregor Park.
RIVERFEST 2018: What you need to know about the festival
Drivers should expect traffic delays and road closures during the festival.
Riverside Drive will have intermittent changes to traffic flow during the festival, which can potentially cause delays in traffic flow through the area.
There will be also be large amounts of pedestrian traffic through the area, so be vigilant and watch for officers directing traffic.
ROAD/LANE CLOSURES:
9/6 at 6 a.m. through 9/7 at 5:30 a.m. – Riverside Drive, southbound, from Spring Street to College Street – traffic will be down to a single lane
9/7 at 5:30 a.m. through 7 pm – Riverside Drive, northbound and southbound will be down to a single lane from Spring Street to College Street
9/7 from 7 p.m. to midnight – All lanes of Riverside Drive closed between Spring Street and College Street
9/8 from midnight to 7 p.m. – Riverside Drive , northbound and southbound will be down to a single lane from Spring Street to College Street
9/8 from 7 p.m. to midnight – All lanes of Riverside Drive closed between Spring Street and College Street
9/9 from midnight to 6 a.m. – Riverside Drive, southbound, from Spring Street to College Street traffic will be down to a single lane.
The courtesy boat dock and boat ramp at the RiverWalk will be closed through Sunday evening. Boats can be anchored on the county side of the channel during the festival, however, no boat may anchor in the channel or on the RiverWalk side of the channel.
PARKING & SHUTTLES
Free parking will be available at APSU Campus on West Avenue, directly off of North Second Street. Shuttles taking patrons to Riverfest will run every 30-45 minutes on Saturday only, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until 11:15 p.m. Please see www.clarksvilleriverfest.com for exact pick-up location.
Riverfest parking will not be permitted at Two Rivers Business Center at any time or at Riverside Drive businesses during their business hours. Handicap parking will be available at designated parking lots directly across from McGregor Park.
