This September, honor the memory of our fallen American heroes at the Valor Run Memorial Mile in Clarksville.

On Saturday, September 15 join AARP as they host this one-mile remembrance walk at Beachaven Winery. The entry fee is $10 and supports the Medals of Honor and Clarksville Rotary.

The Memorial Mile is part of the larger Valor Run Half Marathon and 5k presented by CDE Lightband. Runners in the half and 5k are still able to participate in the Memorial Mile. The Memorial Mile begins at 10:30am. All participants will receive a finishers medal and commemorative t-shirt. The route is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.

At packet pick-up, all runners will receive the name of a fallen service member written on their race bib, courtesy of the Medals of Honor. Medals of Honor is a 501c3 organization committed to honoring the legacy of our fallen heroes through endurance events. Their team of volunteers connects with families and collects the names of soldiers in all branches who have either died in combat, in training, or through the self-inflicted wounds of war.

As participants walk the one-mile stretch they will pass small memorials honoring fallen Fort Campbell soldiers. The bibs for the Memorial Mile will also be specific to fallen Fort Campbell soldiers. The half marathon and 5k runners will receive names of soldiers from across the United States. This remembrance walk is the perfect time for you and your family to pay tribute to those who have sacrificed for our freedoms.
