HOUSTON COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Multiple agencies are working on an active search for a missing boater on Kentucky Lake.
According to WKRN News 2, crews were looking near the Danville boat dock in Houston County on Monday morning.
A 49-year-old man from Dickson went missing after an accident on the water around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Houston County Emergency Management.
According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, three people were ejected after their 26-foot Rinker cabin boat hit something underwater.
Two of the three boaters were able to swim back to the boat. The man from Dickson is still missing.
Officials said none of the occupants were wearing lifejackets at the time.
The dock is closed during the search, which involves rescue squads from Houston, Dickson, Humphreys and Benton and Montgomery counties.
No additional information was immediately released.
