CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Veterans Coalition (MCVC) held its monthly meeting May 16, 2018 at Veterans Plaza.
Before the meeting, Tim Shank with Biz Vets handed out certificates acknowledging several of local veteran business owners and veteran-friendly businesses, including Chief Knows Ft. Campbell Homes, Jay Insurance PMI Clarksville, Clarksville Real Estate, Do Tera Essential Oils, and Giles Reality.
Members were asked what they wanted to see on the soon-to-launch new MCVC website.
Guest Speaker Becky Smith (Chapter 45 DAV) discussed the positive impact the DAV has made in the lives of thousands of veterans. Mrs. Smith provided educational handouts regarding the effects of Agent Orange and other conditions the VA considers “presumptive” illnesses for those who served in certain areas during certain time frames.
