Evelyn Adkins King, age 86 of Chapmansboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 04, 2018 at Skyline Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, July 07, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mallory’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 06, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, July 07, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
She was born on May 20, 1932 in Montgomery County, TN to Samuel Robert and Johnnie Adkins. She was a member of Brewers Chapel UMC and Mt. Carmel UM Women, and is a retired co-owner of King Construction. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Howard King, brothers, J.D. and Kenneth Adkins and brother Robert Glendon Adkins (missing in action during WWII); sister, Doris Adkins Hill.
She is survived by her daughter, Glyndan (Johnny) Beasley; son, Wade (Janice) King; Son, Todd (Kristi) King; grandchildren, Shane, Robin and Josh Beasley; Kristyn King and Lesli Wright; Cooper and Chloe King and 7 great grandchildren.
