NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Heat Advisory through 8:00 pm Wednesday.
Heat index values could reach up to 110 degrees over the next few hours. The combination of heat and humidity will lead to an increased risk of heat-related stress and illness.
The very young, the elderly, those without air conditioning, and those participating in strenuous outdoor activities will be the most susceptible.
Also, car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Anyone who has to be outdoors this weekend is urged to stay hydrated, wear comfortable clothing, and use sunscreen.
Hot temperatures are dangerous for children and pets. It is against the law to leave them unattended in vehicles.
