HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Charges are pending against who woman who allegedly drove her vehicle into a deputy’s car twice and also struck a house.
According to Kentucky State Police, a car driven by 33-year-old April Stewart of Hopkinsville ran a stop sign near E. 20th Street and Alley Street. The woman was speeding and hit the front of a Christian County Sheriff’s deputy’s vehicle. Stewart’s vehicle then struck a house before hitting the deputy’s vehicle a second time.
Stewart sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by EMS to Jennie Stuart Hospital for treatment. The deputy was not injured.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is seeking criminal charges for Stewart. The crash is being investigated by the Kentucky State Police.
