CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A domestic assault suspect is jailed after crashing into his wife’s car, assaulting her and barricading himself in his home Saturday.

Clarksville Police say the standoff began around 9:15 a.m. at a home on Sturdivant Drive.

Earlier that morning, a 34-year-old victim left her home in a Chevrolet Avalanche, following a domestic disturbance.

The suspect, identified as 44-year-old Palikna Tosie, pursued her in a Chevrolet Camaro, ramming her vehicle off the road at the intersection of Sturdivant Drive and Tobacco Rd. before attacking her on foot.

Tosie then returned to the home and locked himself inside.

Another woman and two children were evacuated from the home, and the suspect surrendered a short time later before the tactical unit arrived.

The woman rescued from the home was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital. She was conscious and breathing at the time, but her current condition has not been released.

Tosie has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
