CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The 19th Judicial District Task Force with the assistance of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) K9 Unit seized 54 pounds of crystal meth along with $7,000 in cash on June 20, 2018.

Based on information provided by the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, agents developed probable cause for the issuance of a search warrant in the North Clarksville area.

Agents found 54 pounds of a crystalline substance wrapped in individual packages. The substance tested positive for Methamphetamine.

“On a national level, crystal meth sells for approximately $80 a gram,” MCSO spokesperson Sandra Brandon said. “However, in Montgomery County, a gram sells for approximately $100, which would put the street value at $2.4 million.”

James Castile, 45, and Stan L Crunk, 46, both of Hopkinsville, were taken into custody by law enforcement in Kentucky and face numerous drug charges by Kentucky officials.
