MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – Ashley Wright, a Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy and school resource officer at West Creek High, has resigned after she was charged with driving under the influence earlier this month.

WKRN reports that Wright was involved in a single-vehicle crash Nov. 10. An incident report said she called police to report the crash but gave dispatchers the wrong address. When she was found, an officer said she appeared to have been drinking.

Wright told police she was on her way home from a Titans game and had “a couple of drinks.” She failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. Her blood alcohol content was 0.156, which is nearly twice the legal limit.
